Elevating Higher Education Partnerships! Fruitful Visit by the EMI International Expert Task Force｜EMI 國際專家美籍免試計畫任務委員訪台

Jointly supported by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange (FSE), we were honored to host 7 heavyweight experts in international education and EMI from Teachers College, Columbia University; Arizona State University; New York University; and the University of Maryland. The task force kicked off their journey in Penghu, engaging in EMI discussions with National Penghu University of Science and Technology, visiting the Penghu County Government, and exploring historic landmarks like the First Guest House and Erkan Ancient Village, before enjoying the spectacular Penghu Fireworks Festival.

Upon returning to Taipei, the committee held strategic meetings with the MOE officials and FSE, followed by university visits and classroom observations at NTNU and NTU. To conclude this momentous trip, the task force joined higher education leaders, including vice presidents and deans from NTU, NTNU, NCKU, and NSYSU, alongside the LTTC director for the "Fulbright EMI Education Leadership Roundtable," and attended the "2025-26 Global Education Forum". 

This visit has injected invaluable global perspectives into Taiwan's EMI pedagogy. Heartfelt thanks to the MOE and all partners for making this visit a resounding success. We look forward to further deepening the international educational collaboration!

由學術交流基金會（FSE）與教育部合作推動的「高教免試計畫」，美籍任務小組委員於 5 月底正式訪台！本次非常榮幸邀請到來自哥倫比亞大學教育學院、亞利桑那州立大學、紐約大學及馬里蘭大學的 7 位國際教育與 EMI 教學重量級學者共襄盛舉。

任務小組首站飛抵澎湖，與國立澎湖科技大學展開 EMI 教育研討並拜訪澎湖縣政府，在澎湖 ETA/ETF 美籍英語教學助理的陪同下，深度體驗外島文化；隨後馬不停蹄地與教育部（MOE）及基金會代表召開策略會議，並前往臺灣大學、臺灣師範大學等頂尖學府進行實地課室觀察。

此外，委員們更與臺大、師大、成大、中山等多所大學副校長、教務長及 LTTC 研發長等高教領袖，齊聚「EMI 教育領導力圓桌會議」研擬發展策略，並壓軸出席盛大的「2025-26 全球教育論壇」。

本次實地走訪為臺灣的 EMI 創新教學注入了寶貴的國際視野。誠摯感謝教育部與各界夥伴的支持，期待雙方國際教育合作持續深化發展！
